1. You choose the item you would like to paint.
2. You choose your design & paint your item. (We have stencils, sponges, stamps, tracings or books & offer on hand assistance to get you started)
3. Leave it with us to be glazed & fired & ready for collection within 10 days, you will be amazed by the magic of the kiln!
You pay a studio fee of £3.50 per painter which covers the use of the paints, the glazing & firing service. For that fee you get a 2 hour sitting & a firing service taking upto 10 days. Should you require longer than 2 hours to finish your chosen item there would be an additional studio fee of £1.50 per hour there after. If you leave the premises & return to do the item the full studio fee would be payable again & the hourly rate thereafter. (Please note this is discretional, therefore if you are doing several items over a period of time we may consider overlooking the additional hourly fee).
We also offer a fast track firing service within 7 days for an extra £5 per item for those really urgent items.
Each item of pottery is individually priced thereafter, we have a wide range of items for you to choose from including various cups, plates through to vases, wine coolers, plant pots, ornaments as well as trinket boxes & moneyboxes etc
If you're still not sure what painting your own pottery is all about, please phone us or call in to see us and it will all make sense soon enough! If your not brave enough yourself we can do commissions for any special occasion, you should however allow a 3 week period for this if possible.
Booking not essential but recommended for weekend & school holidays especially if your bringing a large group.
Signing Plates are an original way to mark any special occasion and are particularly popular for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, christenings, naming ceremonies, retirements, new arrivals, new home etc
It doesn't have to be a plate it could be anything from a mug to a teapot, a vase or plant pot or even a wine cooler. You choose the item from a selection & either paint it yourself or we can design & commission it for you for an additional charge.You then take the chosen item to the special occasion & have all the guests sign it return it to us and we will paint over all the signatures, glaze & fire the item for you for collection within 3 weeks.
